The IFRS.org web store recently extended an unbeatable holiday shopping offer, as I evidence here:

As you see, the seasonal offer expired on December 3, and I deeply apologize here for not bringing it to your attention on a more timely basis. You may be thinking, well, it wouldn’t have done much for me anyway – I already have all my bound volumes, and my spouse has a set, and all the kids, and all the siblings, and so on. But that would grievously overlook the full breadth of the IFRS web store, and even though I’ve certainly left it too late to influence your holiday shopping for this year, I bring a few of its wonders to your attention now, if only so that you’ll be on the lookout for next year’s seasonal discount.
Barckow Knits As modeled below by the man himself, the IASB’s official Barckow Knitwear helps create a solid wardrobe with one of the most reliable fabrics, ranging from light sweaters to cardigans and cable-knit sweaters. The crew-neck and V-neck sweaters are must-haves for daily looks, either as the main element of an outfit, or as an ideal layer on top of a shirt to build slightly elevated looks with more dimension, which is excellent for business-casual dress codes. This dimensional effect can also be achieved with our Barckow-brand knitted vests; alternatively, a half-zip sweater or a full zip-up sweater gives the look a classic dynamic flare. Finally, our knit sweatshirts are comfy pieces carrying an effortless charm and style. Our unmatchable colours include Barckow Brick (the collection’s classic cornerstone), Gast-ly Green, Armstrong Ambergris, Suzuki Smoke Haze, Mezon-Hutter Cocoa Butter and Uhl Utopia, among dozens of others.

Color-coded publications Following on from that, while IFRS no longer observes the old system of red and green primary volumes, it continues to issue less visible special editions for specialized users. Currently available: IFRS yellow book This omits the material that certain users are too nervous to try to understand (because, in popular parlance, of their big yellow streak). Given the increasing length and accompanying fearsomeness of the official pronouncements over time, this basically means that it just contains the old IAS-series materials, plus a few random paragraphs from the later works. IFRS orange book. Befitting the association with vitamin C and with robust health in general, this annotates the standards with cleverly-correlated tips and exercises, designed to maximize their healthful application. For example, IAS 36 comes marked with a handy guide to identifying and tackling impaired body parts, IFRS 5 extends its concepts to help you identify which parts of your body would best be discontinued, and so on. IFRS grey book Reflecting the reality that for many readers, the notion of a grey book leads directly to the titillating best-seller Fifty Shades of Grey and its sequels, this contains additional guidance (and pictures!) designed to bring out the standards’ erotic subtext. Hey, once you dip in here, you may never deploy the term “performance obligation” in the same way again. Restricted to purchasers of at least 18 years of age (21 years of age in certain jurisdictions).
IASB marijuana gummies Not on-brand, you say? Take enough of them and you’ll start to see that differently.
Standard Wars! In this fast-moving, high-concept board game for all the family, up to six players compete to be the first to draft, expose for comment and finalize an innovative new accounting standard, while facing a multitude of perils such as writer’s block and other drafting challenges, ineffective staff (see previous item), computer breakdowns and other technical challenges, negative reaction ranging from ranting academics to gun-toting auditors, earthquakes and floods, and (if you make it to the highest skill levels) space aliens devoted to replacing IFRS with their own conceptually inferior principles. Expect the unexpected! – the last time I played, my standard got eaten by a bear!
Be an IASB member for a day! For those who prefer gifting unique experiences, this premium package offers a potentially life-changing chance to step into a board member’s shoes. Depending on your budget, the available scenarios range from Day in the Office (reviewing board packages, eating in the IASB dining room {earlier in the week advised}, pretending to laugh at Florian Esterer’s jokes) to Exotic Outreach (trekking to an obscure destination to present a technical update session; taking anti-IFRS 9 calls while jumping out of a plane) to Unavoidably Unable to Attend (we inject you with a crippling 24-hour flu, to facilitate the unmatchable experience of calling in sick to an IASB meeting).
And of course, where applicable, the web store offers a range of gift-wrapping and personalization options. Well, I can’t do any more than that for you, so it only remains to add: happy holidays!
